It is cool, really cool! It possesses antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. Treat heat boils with sandalwood paste or mix sandalwood paste with rose water and apply to relieve skin of prickly heat. What’s more, sandalwood powder helps to control perspiration and its oil is used for body massage too.

As a beauty aid
People with pimple-prone skin can apply this paste.
- 2 tsp. pure sandalwood paste.
- 2 tsp. rose water.
- A pinch of turmeric powder.
Method: Make a smooth paste of the ingredients.
Use: Apply to affected skin.

As a body uptan (scrub)
- 1 cup green moong dal powder
- 4 tsp. turmeric powder
- 4 tsp. sandalwood powder
- Milk
Method: Mix the first three ingredients with some rose water and milk.
Use: Massage and scrub the paste all over the body before a bath.
