Ingredients

• 100 g garbanzo (chickpeas)

• 10 g tahini paste

• 1 g baking soda

• 20 ml extra virgin olive oil

• 10 ml lemon juice

• 5 gm garlic cloves

• salt

• paprika

• parsley

• pine nuts

 

Method

Soak the chickpeas overnight. Rinse the following day at least 2-3 times.

Add the drained chickpeas & baking soda to a pot. Add enough salt and water to cover the chickpeas and bring to a boil.

Cook till soft. Drain.

Add all the ingredients with the boiled chickpeas to a high-powered blender and secure the lid.

Turn the blender on high for a softer hummus.

Add the hummus to a small serving bowl and garnish with olive oil, paprika, pine nuts and fresh parsley.
