Soya Bean Sundal
Ingredients
• 1 cup soy beans, soaked for 8 hours
• 1 tsp oil
• 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
• few curry leaves
• 1/4 cup onion, chopped
• 2 tsp tamarind, thick paste
• 2 tsp coconut
• a pinch of asafoetida
• salt to taste
• 1 tsp jaggery
• 3 green chillies, slit lengthwise
• cilantro to garnish
Method
Soak soya beans for about 8 hours and pressure cook until done.
Heat oil and splutter mustard seeds. Add onion and curry leaves and sauté until onions are cooked. Add the rest of the ingredients except cilantro and cook for about 5 minutes. Garnish with cilantro and serve.
