Poetry by Love and Cheesecake

The Kala Ghoda outlet of Poetry by Love and Cheesecake provides a blissful respite from the chaos outside. Bathed in white with pale water colours, the interiors spell tranquility. While the white marble tables are paired with small flowers and table plants, a corner full of books entices the bookworm in us, which can be read complimentary with the meal. Coming to the food, the eatery was launched with a special charcoal menu exclusive to the outlet, along with their original menu.
We decided to start our meal with this and ordered the Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Croissant. The vibrant salmon, placed on a bed of greens between a charcoal black croissant makes for an Instagram worthy dish! The Grilled Chicken Bruschetta was a simple but flavoursome nibble. To satiate our sweet tooth, we ordered the Cold Nutella Cheesecake and the Baked Black Cheesecake. Presumably, the creamy cheesecakes were the highlight of our tryst here. While the Nutella cheesecake is a chocoholic’s dream, the charcoal black version was perfectly balanced.
At the end of the meal, the bill was presented in a book, but alas, the book was not for the taking. All in all, Poetry by Love and Cheesecake is a quaint eatery which gets everything right, not the (high) price though!
