Dark Chocolate Almond  Torte

Ingredients

• 32 g castor sugar

• 32 g almond powder

• 4 eggs

• 105 g butter, salted

• 230 g 55% chocolate

• 1/4 tsp baking powder 

 Method

Melt chocolate and butter in a microwave safe bowl or over a double boiler.

Mix well and set it aside to cool.

Add the almond flour and baking powder to the chocolate and whisk till lump-free.

In another bowl, beat eggs and sugar till light, fluffy and pale. They should be almost 3 times the original volume.

Fold in the melted chocolate mixture until you see no streak of the eggs.

Pour into a greased and lined 8" tin  and bake at 160° C for 30 minutes.

Serve with whipped cream and fresh berries.
