Ming Yang
Ming Yang
Head to the Land of the Rising Sun – no, not Japan but Ming Yang – for a platter of authentic Chinese cuisine. While Ming refers to the Dynasty (1368-1644), yang reflects the positive energy of the sun. So, wherever you choose to dine at Ming Yang, be it the Mahjong Room, Main Dining Area, Bay Dining Area or the Tea Lounge, you will feel this warmth exude through the rustic yet contemporary interiors, in shades of green and grey, and the chow, compiled from Sichuan, Canton, Shanghai and Beijing, for you.
The culinary team headed by Executive Chef Rohit Sangwan conjures a menu with 20 varieties of Dim sums like the Chicken Sesame Kothe and the Butternut Squash Dumpling, and the delicately crafted Prawn Cheung Fun. Seafood aficionados must order the Chilean Sea Bass with pickled chilli, scallion and black bean. The Okra in Hot Bean Sauce is quite a delicacy. Or perhaps the Mock Meat in the same, if you choose. We love a little tipple with our meal or if it’s a lunch, a soothing tea, and Ming Yang has that covered. There are 19 different teas and an extensive cocktail menu, from which the Hangzou, of vodka, cranberry, rosemary and fresh cream is an innovative creation. Finish off with a Warm Pear Frangipani Tart or a Lemongrass Lychee Sorbet and bow to the sun in gratitude.
