Here is a labour of love. Suzette and Rony Martins are both creative people who until 10 years ago were respectively pursuing calligraphy and photography, running the successful family business of an outdoor agency.

Then one day they decided they will open a good Goan restaurant and resurrect the authentic Goan food which was in danger of being forgotten. Rony's mother herself a fantastic cook contributed to the idea, while the husband-wife team travelled all over Goa, going into as many truly genuine Goan home kitchens, learning nuances, picking up old recipes which they weaved into their menu and went ahead to create a storm in not just Panjim, but all over Goa.

Now 10 years later, they have truly arrived. Mum's Kitchen is a nice little eatery with a charming garden, where the buzzing kitchen is as big as the dining section. And the labour of Suzy and Rony and all the Goan mum's they learnt from, shows in the love with which they cook and serve their loyal patrons.
