Martinss is as close to the real Goan kitchen as you can get. What started as a four table space eatery in the home of Carafina and Martin Periera is today a multi-roomed restaurant. All available space, meaning the entire sprawling bungalow was taken over bit by bit for the dining pleasure of its patrons who travel the length and breadth of Goa to come and enjoy just one genuine meal at this most unpretentious place. But the Martins have done well for themselves. Hard work always pays. The family has now moved across the road where they live in a beautiful Goan style villa and have even opened a resort called Martin’s Comfort, right besides their home.

 The ambience at Martins is just right, full tables, quick service and then you are left to enjoy your meal. There is a buzz prevalent that can only be created by satisfied customers.

On the menu are also Indian and Chinese dishes which if you have gone all the way south to Martins you will avoid, and instead order a good curry rice, fish or prawn. Then there are umpteen number of Goan delicacies to choose from:  Pomfret Caldin, Chicken Cafreal, Pork Sorpotel, Beef Xacuti, even a Sausage Pulao. Then of course there are crabs. Crab Xec Xec, cooked in grated coconut and masala is outstanding. 

The alcohol list is impressive. There is nothing wanting, right from cashew feni to Moet & Chandon to Black Label to all kinds of beer, you got it. Now make the time and head Martin-wards.
