Boogey Nights
Punekars can bogey-woogey all night long but for the cops. Nonetheless there are plenty of places to let your hair loose and unwind to some retro, techno, pop or tribal music. Let go of your extra nervous energy and take your pick! Starry nights at Club Polaris! Slip into a slinky dress or a silk shirt. This place is rather exclusive and classy. An enterprise of Taj Blue Diamond, Polaris comes highly recommended for a good crowd, good music and some interesting cocktails. Blue Lagoon, Pink Lady and Mai Tai promise to be delectable sips for those that like cocktails and if all that dancing has made you a bit hungry, then munch into Ajwaini Fish Tikka or some Aloo ki Potli. Plenty of Elbow Room to dance away! Currently a hot favourite amongst partygoers and this hotspot is located at Mundwa.

Elbow Room is a treat for those who dig retro music. Blue, green and yellow pin spots and the English wooden bar makes the place inviting. The drinks are a mix of shooters, cocktails and mocktails. In fact the place boasts for being the only pub that offers shooters like Flaming Whispers and Banana Boat. But for those that are tired of the monotonous beats of trance and rave, make a quick dash at Elbow Room for some Shakin Stevens and don't forget to wear your bellbottoms to get into the whole 70s mood! It's a Scream! Scream is the largest nightclub of Pune city and is a venture of Le Meridian. DJ Zuber works magic with his music a mix of tribal, house, trance and retro.

A muted ambience, maroon walls and laser lamps gives the place the right mood to party the night away. Other places to go pub hopping to are Ten Downing Street at Gera Plaza, 1000 Oaks near East Street and Boomerang at Holiday Inn.

Midnight snacks! OK so you have partied hard and feel the need to grab a bite somewhere? Fret not! There are plenty of places where you can go to eat cheap and nice meals. Nandu's at Boat Club Road is everyone's favourite for hot paneer, aloo or mutter parathas! On the same road is delectable Kapila's Kathi Kababs. Juicy and very nice indeed! Then there is Bourgeois at Bhandarkar Road for hot espresso and pav bhaji. Coffee Mania. If you have an irresistible urge for caffeine, then Pune beckons! A flurry of coffee shops have opened up, much to the delight of those who love an engaging chat over a cup of espresso with a dash of irish cream or tiramisu. Fergusson College Road has three of the cities popular jaunts. Cafi Coffee Day is great for international flavours from Columbia and Kenya. Barista has a great line up of sinful desserts to accompany your cup of mint tea or cappuccino. Finally South Winds is a cosy, tiny spot for sandwiches, coffees and good music.

German Bakery at Koregaon Park is everyone's favourite for coffee with apple pies, honey and almond cakes and lasagne and other dishes to bite into. Make yourself comfy on unassuming wooden seats and cookies to die for! Go Karting! Head towards MRF Go Kart Track at Mundwa for a few spins in a mean machine! Popular with the college students who don't seem to tire from this adventure.
