Phiki Mirchi

Ingredients

2  00 g mirchi (chilli)

• 100 g til (sesame)

• 4 onions

• 100 g yogurt

• 100 ml imli (tamarind) juice

• 100 ml oil

For salan (gravy)

pinch of kalonji (onion seeds)

few leaves kadi patta (bay leaf)  

 

Method

  Blend to make a masala of onions and sesame and keep aside.

Half-fry the chilli, make slits in them and keep aside.

For salan (gravy)

Add kalonji and kadi patta in a vessel with oil.

Add masala and imli juice, stir and check for salt.

Add yogurt, mix well, add the chilli.

Check the taste and serve hot.
