The Cheaters Works Burger
Ingredients
150 g ground tenderloin, 80 percent lean
3 g salt
5 g black pepper
5 g dried rosemary
5 g dried thyme
5 g fresh parsley, finely chopped
2-4 Cheddar cheese slices
2 sesame burger buns
rocket lettuce, as needed
10-12 bacon slices • 2 eggs
1/2 onion, sliced
1 tomato, sliced
Method
Sprinkle salt, pepper, parsley and herbs evenly on the ground beef in a large bowl. Gently form the meat into balls making a 2-inch wide indentation in the centre of each of them with your thumb to prevent the burgers from bulging when grilled.
Preheat a grill to high. Grill, undisturbed for 3 to 5 minutes or until grill-marks appear on the bottom. Turn and grill until the other side is also cooked and the patties feel firm.
Top each patty with one or two slices of cheese during the last two minutes of cooking and cover with a disposable aluminum pan to melt. Grill tomato and onion slices as well and fry the eggs sunny-side-up.
Put the patties on the buns and top with lettuce, grilled onion, tomato, fried eggs, grilled bacon and serve.
