With that blue door, a bustling vibe, a summery feel, like a refreshing breath of cool air, with its clean, whitewashed walls, trees lit up with fairy lights, pebbled pathways and sun-dappled courtyard, entering Olive is like stepping into the Mediterranean. Ever since its inception right at the turn of the millennium, the restaurant has been a trendsetter and the food inimitable.
Fresh, local ingredients come together in dishes that are crafted in a global style – light, bright and packed with flavour. The rustic bar is packed to the bottle with whatever your heart desires. Thursday’s bar nights are pumping, and Olive’s Sunday brunches are of the languorous kind. The Coastal Cooler is a cocktail to consider if bourbon is your poison and the Olive Mezze Platter which sets the precedent. The new, young Chef Chirag Makwana holds the fort consistently albeit innovatively well.
