Imli Ka Meetha
Ingredients
• 250 g imli seeds
• 80 g ghee
• 2 tbsp bajre ka atta
• 150 g jaggery
• 1/4 tsp jaiphal (nutmeg) powder
• 8-10 pcs pistachio for garnish
• 100 ml warm water
Method
Soak the imli pods in water for 12 hours. Clean the pods in running water and soak the seeds in fresh water. The seeds need to be soaked for at least 36 hours.
After 36 hours, remove the seeds from the water and rub it with your hand, all the black skins will come out. Wash it in running water.
Now take a mixer grinder and add imli seeds into it and make a fine paste and keep aside.
Now take a bowl, add jaggery and warm water and mix it well till the jaggery gets dissolved.
Take a heavy-bottom pan and add ghee into it, then add bajre ka atta, roast it till the flavours are released.
Add tamarind seed paste into it and roast it till it gets a light golden colour.
Now add jaggery water in it and cook it for 6-7 minutes and make sure there are no lumps.
Turn off the flame and add jaiphal powder and mix it well.
Your Imli ka Meetha is ready to serve. Garnish with pistachios.
