Honey-Glazed Chilli Prawns
Ingredients
• 450 g (20/25) medium-size prawns, peeled and deveined
• 2/3 green onions (cut into small size)
• 2 tbsp garlic and ginger, minced
• 1 tbsp fresh red chilli, chopped
• 2 cups cornflour
• 2 cups vegetable oil, for frying
Seasoning
• 1/3 cup honey
• 2 tbsp light soy sauce
• 2 tbsp tomato sauce
• 2 tbsp oyster sauce
• 1 tbspWorcestershire sauce
Method
In a bowl, add the prawns and 3/4 tbspcornflour, mix together.
In a small bowl, add all the seasoning together forming a smooth paste.
Pour 2 cups of vegetable oil in a wok/pan on high heat and deep-fry the prawns for 3/4 minutes till they are pink and well-cooked, remove the prawns and drain the remaining oils.
