This is how a coffee house should be. Neat, clean, quick, spacious, bright and happy. That’s for the ambience. The food is attractive looking, and served hygienically with servers wearing gloves and caps, even if made of plastic. The menu incorporates substantial items, but more importantly a good mix of light snacks and food that fill, like sizzlers. The pricing is most acceptable.

At Celebrity, The Coffee Shop, you walk in, go to the counter, select and pay for what you desire, hand over the token at the service counter and go find yourself a table. The table has a number marking it. Service is quick and with a smile. Our mushroom patties and cheese chilli toast, grilled just right, came along soon enough. Excellent stuff which we washed down with sugarcane juice, something one is hesitant to do by the roadside. And single portions are enough for two!

There's plenty more at Celebrity. Puffs like ajwain and Jam French Hearts like palmiers. The folks behind the brand do strive to take care of their customers and certainly brought a smile to our faces when they served us our chai with mini cookies in a mini box that we found adorable and perfect to sate our evening time 'dip a little something in your tea' mood. 

As we looked around the bakery-cum-café, housed within Hotel Shreemaya Residency on the busy AB Road, we found a calming, charming atmosphere define the space. Interestingly the patrons are a mixed lot, from octogenarians to teenagers.

And the best part, you can take home for yourself, or if you wish to present as a gift, some amazing cookies, perfectly packed!
