Casa Sarita, Goa

Casa Sarita

Imagine a picture perfect setting right down to the old black and white photographs at the entrance elucidating their own story, traditional and inviting. The interiors of Casa Sarita are modelled and inspired by a colonial house, with the ornate windows studded with mother of pearl shells. The restaurant boasts of an interactive show kitchen decorated with an array of home-made pickles and spices bringing the excitement of cooking from behind the scenes to the table. The traditional Goan music, subtle candlelight and warm welcoming hospitality add to the flavour. Allow Chef Lynton Lepociano Morais Moraquis to start you off with an appetiser as appetising as his name, the Bharleli Malmi- mushrooms stuffed with vegetables and cheese, saut&eacuteed with Goan red masala. For the non vegetarians the choris pao- local spiced pork sausages served with goan bread; the quintessential Goan equivalent to the Bombay vada pao. Move on to the Caldo de Galinha- a hearty chicken broth served with garlicky bread crou00fbtons and quickly follow through with the Vaingachem Piri Piri- a delectably slow-cooked eggplant in peri peri masala. Note, portions are wholesome and can be shared. Wrap up the meal with Dessert Platter of bebinca and dodol.

As they explain ''Goan cuisine tells a story steeped in history. There is tradition and emotion attached to every dish." Casa Sarita takes one on a journey, truly Goan inspired!
