Chef Nimish Bhatia's Arabian Treat!

With a gorgeous view of the sea in the backdrop, you are transported to the busy lanes, eclectic markets and bustling souks of the Middle East when at Maffy's. The newly-opened restaurant in South Bombay aims to bring a traditional Middle-Eastern experience to the city through their elaborate menu, distinct interiors and the spectacular outdoor seating.

The menu, designed by Chef Nimish Bhatia, starts with an entire page dedicated to varieties of hummus on the offering. Popular for being delicious and healthy, hummus has been trending in variants with interesting added ingredients. Taking this to another level while maintaining the authenticity of the simple dish are the offerings at Maffy's. Try the Signature Cauliflower Hummus or, if you prefer a sweeter flavour, the Red Hummus with roasted beetroot and pomegranate pearls. Non-vegetarian offerings like Pulled Chicken Shish Taouk Hummus and Signature Smoked Hummus with Spicy Shrimps. Enjoy the fresh breads served alongside the hummus. They are made in-house, and  are tempting enough to fill you up by themselves. But don't fill up on just the breads as yet; you will regret not saving appetite to enjoy the mains. The Char Grills include Afghani Dum Nalli, Egyptian Beyti Kabab and Kabab Kash Kash. Try the Kefta Tagine– Moroccan meatballs cooked in tomato and herbs, served alongside rice,or Maffy's Mega Mouthful, a chicken-rice dish that needs no further description. Hummus comes back to your table for dessert, but in a new avatar this time. Chocolate Hummus, a favourite here, with tahini-sesame praline, almond flakes and frozen berries, makes for an interesting sweet end to the meal.

For trying the many... many offerings here from the cold plates, salads, hot sharing plates, Turkish pizzas, Levantine pizzas, grilled sandwiches, curries, rice meals and hand-churned ice-creams, one visit to Maffy's isn't going to be enough. You will have to visit again, with a lot to look forward to.
