Open only for dinner, the fine-dine restaurant reflects the royalty of the nawabs in its luxurious and artistic interiors. The same is reflected in the menu presented. The set-dinner menus are named after the begums of the past from Lucknow to Oudh to Bengal. Patrons can also customise their meals from the á la carte menu. For starters, vegetarians can order Dingri Dolma, a succulent button mushroom, Cheddar and spinach kebab while non-vegetarians can dig into Tandoori Kesari Jhinga served with a raw papaya salad and Rajasthani Gosht Ke Soole. The main Purane Chowk ki Nalli Nihari with its slow-cooked shank stew, is a celebration of flavours on the palate while the vegetarian Ummrao Avataar-E-Halim is admired even by the staunchest of the meat-lovers. Nimona Tawa Paratha, Taftaan and Bhakumas are heavy breads which diligently soak up the curries. Rice enthusiasts can go for the Murg Yakhni Pulao, a light yet aromatic preparation. To end your meal on a sweet note, we recommend the Purdah Khubhani Tart. The apricot tart is served with a rabri that balances the tart flavour of the fruit.
