1. What is your fitness mantra?
Eat well, sleep well, work well and exercise daily!

2. Is mental fitness as important as physical?
Mental fitness is more important than physical fitness. If one is mentally fit, they will physically fit too!

3. What is your exercise routine like?
I run for 50 minutes, then I do surya namaskar, then I do legs and crunches. I also meditate for 40-45 minutes.

4. Any particular food you can't resist even when on a diet?
I crave for biryani like anything, and I especially can’t resist having it when I am in Lucknow, Hyderabad or Bhopal.

5. Do you meditate?
Yes, I meditate every morning. I also meditate just before sleeping.

6. Do you have any quick fixes, any herbal remedies, tonics you turn to when low and need a boost?
I go for detox massages or ayurvedic massages every month.

7. How do you choose to detox after a particularly decadent night?
I don’t usually party, these things are quite rare for me. But if it was a decadent night, like if I worked or shot all night, sleeping well and drinking adequate water takes care of everything.

8. What do you do to get back in shape quickly?
You can’t come back in shape very soon unless you go for unhealthy or unnatural remedies. There are no shortcuts!

9. The buffed muscle look or the lean toned look?
Lean toned look any time. Athletic body, I say. The body should be supple. Stretching is important. It should be put right above weight lifting.

10. Who is that one person you think is ultra fit?
Anil Kapoor
