Dates Makhana Smoothie

Ingredients

• 20 makhanas (lotus seed pops)

• 10 fresh red dates

• 250 ml fresh yugurt 

• 1 tbsp rock candy powder

• 1 tsp coconut oil

• 2 ice cubes

Method

In a roasting pan, add coconut oil and makhana.

Roast well till crisp.

Remove the makhanas from heat and crush well, or grind in a mixer-grinder.

Wash and dry the fresh dates, deseed them and cut in small cubes.

In a high-speed blender, add crushed makhana, red date cubes, curd, rock candy powder, ice cubes and blend well till nice and smooth.

Pour the smoothie in a glass and garnish with some roasted makhanas and fresh red dates chunks.

Serve fresh.
