Melon Seeds Chikki
Ingredients
• 100 g melon seeds • 1 tbsp ghee
• 2/3 cup jaggery • 2-3 cups water
Method
In a non-stick pan, add ghee.
Add the melon seeds and roast till crisp.
Remove in a plate and set aside.
In the same pan, heat and dissolve jaggery in water. Bring to a boil till it reaches a syrup consistency.
Add the roasted melon seeds and mix well and remove from heat.
Line a flat plate or tray with some ghee.
Spread the mixture in the tray in a thin, even layer.
Set aside to cool for about 15 minutes.
Cut it in squares, diamonds or any shape using cookie cutters.
Store in an airtight container.
