Ber ka Churan

Ingredients

• 200 g dried ber (wild berry/jujubes)

• 1 tbsp red chilli powder

• 1/2 tbsp roasted cumin powder

• black salt to taste

• 1 tbsp candy sugar

 

Method

Take a pan and add ber and dry-roast for 2-3 minutes on low heat. We are doing this just to remove the moisture, no need to over-roast or change the colour of ber.

Now switch off the flame. Let it cool down completely.

Then take a stone muddler and crush the ber and make course powder. This process can help to make fine powder.

Further, take a mixer grinder jar and add ber powder, chilli powder, cumin powder candy sugar and black salt, and grind it well to make a fine powder.

Now use atta channi (strainer), to get fine powder.

Ber churan is ready to serve.

Store this in an airtight container.
