Everybody knows Yusufbhai in Baroda. For 22 years, this robust and happy man has been cooking all kinds of egg dishes from a small stall outside Hotel Kalyan in the Shahganj area, just at the foot of a majestic statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Yusufbhai only cooks eggs. �This is what I am lucky at,� he explains simply and not strangely. �I am unlucky when I try to cook other non-veg items!� He was a cook earlier with the Copper Coin Restaurant in Baroda for seven years. Which means Yusufbhai can cook! He also admits to learning whatever he knows at the cooking range of the Copper Coin. And he drove a Volkswagon for Karan Grover�s business partner Manoj Patel at one time. Till he set up his omelette and bhurji business about 22 years ago. Yusufbhai has not looked back since then. He is reckoned to be one of Baroda�s prosperous foodie businessmen today! He makes a wicked bhurji in butter that he serves as a burger with two large buns. Likewise an omelette, which is also served in two buns soaking in butter. The bhurji costs Rs. 27, the omelette is Rs.15. He spices his egg dishes with onion, green chilli, garlic, and mint. Yusufbhai also makes a boiled egg tikka, a masala fry and an egg paratha. �I am open from 5 p.m. till 1 a.m. and all of Baroda�s society drives up to eat my food. The maharaja himself comes sometimes. It is only eggs, but they love the way I cook them," says the smiling Yusufbhai.
