HishamSunesra – when he isn’t looking into the affairs of his fabulous family-owned Panchgani hotel, Ravine, with the most spectacular view of river Krishna – is busy being a baker. This tall and handsome guy always had a penchant for baking, even as a kid. With not much to do during the Lockdown days, he began experimenting with dozens of recipes and techniques to voila, arriving at a mind-blowing cookie! Chocolate-centred, it is the most delightful, chunky, crunchy NY-style cookie, this side of America! Well, that was young Hisham’s goal, having lived there long enough and missing it terribly.
Soon enough, as it all starts, friends were falling in love with the taste and texture of this cookie. Word spread, requests turned into orders, one thing led to another and Cookie Cartel was born! Now individuals as well as corporates line up for Hisham’s home-made cookies which has flourished into a successful business venture, with its own cloud kitchen in Aamchi Mumbai, too. So you don’t have to go all the way to Panchgani to eat these cookies, but it does taste nicer there, dunked in a wee bit of hot chai!
