What can one say about Panchgani’s newest hotel, perched prettily at the edge of the cliff, with a wide expanse of the most awesome view the hill station could offer. Obviously it's called The Cliff and what you see from every room of the hotel, which sensibly has little balconies, could seem like you are gazing upon a picture postcard or a lovely painting. Blue skies, fluffy clouds, green hills in the distance and clusters of villages nestling down below in the valley with the Krishna River meandering through...While on one side you see the iconic hill called Sydney Point.

The suites are charmingly named after flowers; Azalea, Magnolia, Anthurium, Tulip, Lillian. We approve! Come to think of it, The Cliff makes for a perfect wedding destination.

It ticks off all the boxes. It has a temperature-controlled indoor pool, a bar, a spa, a large deck, a tuck shop, a restaurant open all day, right until midnight. And last, but not the least, it keeps a good kitchen.

At Global Kitchen, the food is truly global. With a menu as vast, one wonders if they can keep up the tempo. “Yes, we can!” says Puneet Mahajan, the confident General Manager.

And Chef Sahabuddin doesn’t let him down as he rustles up some starters and main course. Nachos, Avocado and Cream Cheese Sushi and Mutton Seekh, followed by Rara Mutton and butter naans loaded with chopped garlic. Along with some assorted Grilled Greens because one does have to keep a balance!
