Elvnthrtyone - A Trendy Indranagar Bar

Elvnthrtyone, named after its address, joins the line-up of trendy bars and restaurants in Indiranagar. It’s on three levels, above Smoor Chocolates on 100 Feet Road. The first level is air-conditioned and feels like a cosy pub. It also includes a hi-tech golf simulator and there’s even an instructor available. The second level is breezy and cool with water features and an attractive vertical garden. The DJ console is at the top level and this becomes a party zone at night.

It’s Mediterranean, Conti, Indian and Pan Asian on the menu. You could start with a crisp Immunity Booster Salad with mixed greens, almonds and orange segments. Among the Oriental appetisers there’s excellent Prawn Dim sum and if you choose Indian there’s the Jaipuri Murg ka Soola, a nicely done kebab wrapped in a red spice paste.

For main course, choose from pasta such as Green Peas and Shiitake Ravioli, with an unusual filling and herb butter sauce, enlived with truffle oil. The Kashmiri Rogan Josh is another good option, to be eaten with kulcha studded with capers and jalapeno, an Indian bread with a twist that really works. From the Asian mains, try the Pad Kra Pao, minced lamb stir-fried with chilli and beans, served with rice and a medley of vegetables.

The Chocolate Lava Cake is one of the star desserts and is very good, made from top quality chocolate and having the right gooey quotient. There’s a full bar and an array of cocktails you can order at this new spot that promises to become one of Indiranagar’s cool hangouts.
