Matar ka Jhajhariya

Ingredients

•250 g green peas 

• 4 tbsp ghee or clarified butter 

• 6 tbsp sugar  

• 2/3u2154cup water 

• 50 g mawa  

• 1/4 cup almonds and cashews 

• 1/2½tsp cardamom powder 

• few sliced almonds for garnishing

Method

Take green peas and grind to make a coarse paste by adding 2-3 tbsp water.

Heat a pan. Once it turns hot, add ghee and let it melt.

Add the ground peas to it. Stir it continuously over medium flame till the moisture dries, peas change colour and ghee starts separating from it.

Add sugar and water. Simmer the flame and stir continuously until it reaches the required consistency.

Add mawa, nuts and cardamom powder. Stir until the mawa is mixed well

Matar Jhajhariya is ready. Serve warm or chilled garnish with sliced almonds.
