Four years since Indigo Colaba shuttered, the doors are now open and light streams into the Sun Porch with its shimmering skylights. This is now Neuma, much talked about, launched by Karan Johar, in collaboration with True Palate Cafe – behind international brands like Zuma and Bagatelle – and Dharma Cornerstone’s CEO Bunty Sajdeh.

Tour this 220-seater with its myriad of dining areas and discover the gravelled Garden Café where you mingle with one another under a mango tree. Then you have delightful others like Verde, Blanc, The Courtyard, with its pristine white and black floors, the outdoor bar area called Bawa, Nautica, Safari Room and the Moulin Rouge-inspired Rose Bar in a red-light structure that’s soothing, though imposing.

Dine extravagantly on comfort foods – yes, Neuma is elaborate – dabbled in contemporariness by Executive Chef Abhinav Sharma and former Olive boy, Chef Rishim Sachdeva, who we adored for his signatures, roped in as a consultant for the vegan diners.

The all-new menu boasts of Marinated Olives & Caper Berries, Cilbir & Sesame Sourdough Toast, Himalayan Organic Black Bean Hummus, Crumbed King Oyster Mushrooms, Crab Cakes, Chicken Liver Parfait and the meal-in-one, the Neuma Lobster Bisque. The Warm White Asparagus and the Cod-n-Chips are Neuma favourites; that is before the Mascarpone & Berry Eton Mess and the Espresso Misu – with caviar espresso from Nandan Coffee – and Callebaut coco powder.

A meal for two would be approximately Rs 4000 + taxes.
